Center for Disease Control
The campaign aimed to raise awareness of prediabetes and the National Diabetes Prevention Program (National DPP) in Indigenous communities by sharing real-life success stories and showcasing the vital role of lifestyle coaches. By emphasizing cultural relevance and engagement, the initiative sought to inspire individuals to take charge of their health with the support of the program.
We developed a comprehensive campaign for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) focused on Type 2 diabetes prevention in Indian Country. The campaign highlighted personal success stories and the impact of lifestyle coaches while raising awareness of prediabetes and the National DPP as valuable, culturally relevant resources for Indigenous communities.
KAT’s strategy centered on a three-fold approach:
1. Promote awareness of prediabetes and the National DPP in Indigenous communities.
2. Showcase testimonials from Indigenous individuals who participated in a DPP, achieved weight loss goals, and improved their overall health.
3. Highlight the vital role of National DPP lifestyle coaches, emphasizing their support and guidance for participants.
The final campaign highlighted diabetes prevention, shared success stories, and reinforced the National DPP’s supportive role, driving engagement and awareness in Indigenous communities.
